Valentine’s Slot Tournament at Silver Dollar Casino

Tuesday, February 8th, 2011

The holiday of Love is coming up. Just kidding. There’s no such thing. But the holiday where corporations have convinced men that they have to prove their love by buying nice things and taking their loved one out to a fancy dinner and some other expensive treat is coming. Of course I am talking about Valentine’s Day. Silver Dollar Casino is getting in on the excitement of the pseudo-romantic holiday with a themed slot tournament. If you like the holiday more than I do, you might want to take part in it.

The tournament is called Slots of Love. That pun alone makes me want to gag, but if you’re into the holiday spirit, you might think it’s “cute.” The tournament began yesterday, February 7, and ends on Friday, February 18. That means even after Valentine’s Day is over, you can still take part in the tournament, assuming you still have money in your bank account.

The slot tournament has a buy-in of $10 and a guaranteed prize pool of $25,000 in casino credits. If you win the top prize, you should have no problem paying yourself back for the money you blew on Valentine’s Day. You might even have some extra money left over.

The tournament is appropriately played on the Cupid’s Arrow slot, which I like. It annoys me when a tournament is played on a game that has nothing to do with its theme, like a Super Bowl tournament played on a slot about butterflies. The Cupid’s Arrow game is an online slot designed by Vegas Technology that has a Valentine’s Day theme, complete with Cupid, roses, candy in a heart-shaped box, jewelry and more.

To play in the Valentine’s Day-themed Slots of Love tournament, visit Silver Dollar Casino.

Casino tournaments at Super Slots

Monday, January 17th, 2011

Unless you have today off for Martin Luther King Day (in which case you are lucky), the weekend is over. That means a lot of things, such as the fact that you are hopefully not still drunk. It also means that the Weekender tournament at Super Slots Casino has ended. The good news is there is a new slot tournament starting today.

The tournament is the Slottery and it runs from today, January 17, to Thursday, January 20. The Slottery tournament is played on the Bangkok Nights game, an online slot based on the capital of Thailand. The tournament follows a leader board format, with those who accumulate the most points at the end of the tournament winning a part of the pot. The buy-in for the slot tournament is only $5.

If you are looking for a slot tournament that is a little smaller, there are the daily Play for the Pot tournaments. Each tournament has an entry fee of $3 and players compete for a share of the pot. Since the tournaments only last one day, the pot is usually smaller than in tournaments that last a few days or more.

Today’s Play for the Pot tournament takes place on the Shaaark slot, which is a cartoonish slot with a shark attack theme. Sounds odd, but it works. Every day there is a different daily slot tournament on a different game. On January 18, 19 and 20, the tournaments are played on the Parrot Party, Cupid’s Arrow and Monster Money slots, respectively.

If you are home and bored on the holiday or if you are home and bored for a different reason, any of those slot tournaments at Super Slots Casino are a good way to spend your time. Not that you need to be bored to play in a slot tournament…

Frozen Assets tournament at Super Slots

Monday, January 10th, 2011

If you are living anywhere in the northern hemisphere, and even some places elsewhere, you are probably a little chilly today, to say the least. 2010 was a year of record cold and it looks like the new year is going to be a pretty cold one as well. Therefore, it’s quite fitting that Super Slots Casino is running a slot tournament called Frozen Assets.

Yes, I realize that “frozen assets,” is actually a financial term that has nothing to do with the temperature, but it’s hard to continuously come up with clever lead-ins for blogs about tournaments. Give it a rest, okay?

If you are a person, unlike me, who is lucky enough to have some assets, the last thing you want is for them to be frozen. If your assets are frozen, winning a slot tournament may or may not help you. The money will probably just go to someone else, depending on why your assets were frozen. If your assets are fine or if you don’t have assets (like me), then winning this slot tournament would be a great thing for you.

The tournament began back on January 1 but you have until January 31 to play in this month-long tournament. The tournament has a prize pool of $25,000 in guaranteed casino credits and the entry fee to join the tournament is only $10 – pretty low for a month-long tournament that has a good prize pool.

The Frozen Assets tournament is played on the Beat the Bank slot. That online slot has a theme of one of the most old-fashioned ways of getting your hands on assets: robbing a bank. Of course, if you do rob a bank and get caught, the government will freeze that money and confiscate it. You’ll also go to jail. With this online slot, though, you get to enjoy the thrill of robbing a bank without the risk of prison. Sounds pretty good, right?

To play in the Frozen Assets slot tournament, visit Super Slots Casino before the tournament ends on January 31.

New slot tournaments at Millionaire Casino

Wednesday, January 5th, 2011

Now that a new month and year are here, Millionaire Casino has a new list of slot tournaments. The Holiday Feast tournament is now over, but the January Showdown is still going on. That is the final tournament available to those who played their way in during the Holiday Feast. If you didn’t earn entry to the tournament, there is no way to buy your way in. There are a lot of other options that are open to you, though.

The big tournament is called Frozen Assets and it lasts all month long, ending on January 31. The tournament has a $25,000 guaranteed prize pool and is played on the Beat the Bank slot, which is a game dramatizing a bank heist. The entry fee for the tournament is $10, which is pretty food for a month-long slot tournament.

The Slottery tournaments are also back in full force this month. There are four Slottery tournament in all, with each lasting four days, from Monday through Thursday. Each Slottery tournament has a $5 buy-in and players compete for part of the pot. The current Slottery tournament is played on the Cleopatra’s Pyramid game and ends tomorrow, January 6.

The Slottery tournaments don’t take place over the weekend because the online casino runs a different tournament offered then. That is the Weekender tournament, which runs every Friday through Sunday. Those tournaments also have a $5 entry fee and players compete for the pot. The next coming Weekender tournament is played on the Cool Bananas slot and it runs from Friday, January 7 to Sunday, January 9.

To take part in any of the above slot tournaments, visit Millionaire Casino.

Holiday Feast continues at Super Slots Casino

Monday, December 20th, 2010

Though the first two rounds are over and done with, there is still plenty of the Holiday Feast slot tournament left. At Super Slots Casino, the Christmas-themed tournament runs until the end of the month, December 31. It is a two-part tournament, with initial prizes awarded in each round as well as a special tournament being held in January for the winners.

The third round of the Holiday Feast slot tournament began yesterday, December 19, and ends on Christmas Day, December 25. This round has an entry fee of $5 and players compete for a share of the pot. Round Three of the tournament is played on the Beat the Bank slot, a game with a bank robbery theme. This time of year, a lot of people contemplate pulling off a bank heist to fund their Christmas shopping. To be honest, I haven’t started shopping yet. I should really get to that soon…

This slot tournaments ends with a final called the 2011 January Showdown. That tournament runs from Monday, January 3 to Sunday, January 9. There is no entry fee for that tournament because players cannot buy their way into it. The only way to gain entry to the January Showdown is to win your way in during any of the four rounds of the Holiday Feast tournament. That tournament has a massive $50,000 prize pool.

To take part in the Christmastime slot tournament and give yourself a chance at playing in the January Showdown tournament for the big bucks, visit Super Slots Casino.

Weekend winter tournament at Online Vegas

Friday, December 17th, 2010

This weekend, when you’re not busy Christmas shopping or downing too much eggnog at your holiday parties, Online Vegas Casino wants you to take part in some slot tournaments. Honestly, staying home and playing online slots may not be as much fun as going out for a Christmas party, but it’s a lot safer. You don’t have to worry about drunk drivers on the way home. You don’t have to worry about getting too drunk at the party and saying the wrong thing to someone. You also don’t have to worry about that awkward moment when you realize you’re standing under the mistletoe.

This weekend, Online Vegas Casino is running the Countdown to Christmas Freeroll. This tournament runs from Friday, December 17 to Friday, December 24(so it started this morning). The tournament is appropriately played on the Winter Wonderland slot, a Christmas-themed slot featuring symbols of snowmen, gingerbread men, wrapped presents, snow-covered houses and more.

The Countdown to Christmas Freeroll tournament is a free slot tournament, so there is no entry fee charged to join. Upon joining, players are given 50 credits to use. If those run out and you want to continue playing in the tournament, re-buys are available for a price of $12.99. In the tournament, players compete for a share of a $250,000 prize pool. Winners will have plenty of money to buy last-minute Christmas gifts or fund their legal defense for the mistletoe-caused sexual harassment lawsuit.

Winter Wonderland is a 5-reel online slot that allows you to play up to 20 paylines (playing the maximum lines is recommended for slot tournaments). The jackpot for the game is 50,000 credits. To take part in the Countdown to Christmas Freeroll, visit Online Vegas Casino.

Platinum Play running Christmas slot tournament

Friday, December 10th, 2010

Online casinos are hoping you’re in the Christmas spirit. Right now you are probably really into the Christmas spirit or hating everything to do with Christmas. It is determined not just by whether or not you are generally a Scrooge, but also by whether your shopping is going well, whether you have enough money to buy presents, whether you’re being bombarded with awful Christmas songs, and more. As for me, I’m being bombarded by terrible Christmas songs at work. Sure, there are some great Christmas songs, but those are overpowered by things like a pack of dogs barking “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.”

If you are in a “bah-humbug” mood, you will probably have no interest in the slot tournament featured in this blog. In that case, I apologize for contributing to your Scrooginess. If not, though, this tournament may be just what you’re looking for. Platinum Play Casino is holding a slot tournament called the Christmas Cracker slot tournament.

I have no idea why it’s Christmas cracker. I certainly hope it’s not a racist slot tournament. I don’t even know what a Christmas cracker is, but I know I get annoyed when I get a gift from someone that is something lame like nuts or crackers with cheese and meat.

Wherever the name came from, the Christmas Cracker slot tournament begins today, December 10, and runs until Christmas Eve, December 24. The tournament has a $20,000 guaranteed prize pool and the top 25 players in the tournament will walk away with some prize money. This is a free slot tournament, so there is no entry fee. However, if you run out of credits, re-buying will cost you $25.

The slot tournament is played on the Hitman slot, which doesn’t seem very Christmassy, but I guess hitmen have to work during the holidays, too. In the tournament, players can compete in one round of play and earn as many points as they can. This isn’t a tournament where you can keep playing over and over. It’s one round for everyone.

To take part in the Christmas Cracker slot tournament, whether you are a cracker or not, visit Platinum Play Casino.

Weekend Madness begins at Online Vegas

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

For many, a couple days off at the end of the week is the perfect cure for what ails you. But what if you have Weekend Madness? In that case, the only cure is good tournament action at Online Vegas Casino.

I apologize for the terrible into and segue. I’m not on top of my game today. Anyway, starting Friday, September 24, Online Vegas is holding the Weekend Madness tournament. The slot tournament is played on the Bangkok Nights game and has an entry fee of $10. While that might seem a little steep, keep in mind that you’re playing for a share of a $30,000 prize pool in guaranteed money.

The great thing about playing an online slot set in Bangkok rather than visiting the Thai city yourself is that you don’t have to worry about being kidnapped and sold as a sex slave. You’re also considerably less likely be killed by drug runners, be scammed by local con artists, or get contract horrible diseases, though what you do in the privacy of your own home is none of my business.

The Weekend Madness tournament begins tomorrow at 10:00 PM and ands at 10:45 PM on Tuesday, September 28. The $10 entry fee earns you a stake of 325 credits. If you run out and want to continue playing, you can re-buy for an additional $10.

Bangkok Nights is an online slot based on the capital of Thailand. Instead of focusing on the human trafficking, drug trafficking or trafficking of copyrighted material (they love trafficking there), this game wisely focuses on the nightlife that makes the city a popular tourist destination. It feature symbols that portray the club night life and festivals.

To take part in the Weekend Madness slot tournament, visit Online Vegas Casino between Friday and the following Tuesday.
