JackpotCity Bingo Giveaway

Friday, November 20th, 2009

With the Christmas shopping season right around the corner, people could use a little extra cash. I get extra cash by brining a guitar and an empty hat to the street corner and playing for spare change. If you’re either a really good musician or a really pathetic person, you can actually make decent money that way. I usually do pretty well. But I’ve never really that I was a great musician… Anyway, if you don’t want to start busking then you might want to head over to JackpotCity for some bingo games.

JackpotCity online casino is giving away some goodies to their online bingo players this month. All bingo players have the chance to win £350 worth of shopping vouchers. Oh yeah. That’s what I’m talking about. You can buy a lot of Snuggies for that money. To be eligible for the prize drawing, all you have to do is deposit and wager at least £10 on bingo or other casino games this month. Every time you do, you will be given a ticket to the big bingo game in December. You can do this as often as you want and play as many tickets in the bingo game as you want. The more tickets you have, the better your chances are at winning the prize.

Even if you don’t win the grand prize of the £350 of free Christmas presents, you can still walk away happy. The second prize is £100 in Bingo Bonus money and the third prize is £50 of Bingo Bonus Money. Whatever is on your Christmas shopping list, the holidays will be a lot more stressful if you have an extra £350 tucked away in your stocking.

To have a chance to win the £350 prize, visit JackpotCity online casino today and get your game on.

All Slots Casino Offering New Bingo Game

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

BingoAll Slots Casino has one of the leading mobile casinos, thanks to a large number of mobile web applications that can be played on any smartphone. They already had a good number of slots and poker games. Now there is a new game for the bingo fans out there.

Bingo Bonanza is the new game and it’s sure to be a hit among bingo lovers. The game offers the chance to win some pretty good money, with players able to win up to 20,000 times their bet. The gameplay of Bingo Bonanza is kind of unique, in that it plays more like a lottery draw than a bingo game. In the game, six balls are drawn and to win, the player needs to match at least 2 of the balls.

One of the best features of the game, and one that I wish was included in all online games, is a feature where the player can control the speed of the game. If the normal mode is too slow and the player wants to speed up the game, they can put the game in Turbo Mode, where the animations are accelerated and you can get in more games in the same amount of time. I’ve played quite a few online blackjack games that I wish had this option.

It’s another example of All Slots Casino’s commitment to innovation. In order to keep customers happy, they are offering not only a new bingo game, but one that can be played on a cell phone, has a unique gameplay, and can be modified to play fast or normal speed depending on the player’s wish.

To try the new online bingo experience, visit All Slots Casino today.

Though most people hate Mondays, it is the perfect day for playing online bingo at William Hill. Online Bingo Site Launches New Ad Campaign

Friday, September 18th, 2009

The exclusively Swedish Svenskabingo.com has quickly become a well-recognized site on the Swedish Bingo community’s radar. However, the online bingo market is still dominated by other sites like Svenska Spel, Jackpot Joy and Ladbrokes to name a few. Svenska is hoping to change all of that with a new television ad campaign.

The ads target Swedish online bingo players, focusing on the idea of Svenskabingo being a bingo site created just for them. Like the online bingo’s site, the ads themselves are a colorful mix of live action and animation and emphasizes the social aspect of the all-Swedish language site.

Thomas Pedersen, Manager of Svenska Bingo, said of the campaign that he “hopes that the advert will cement Svenskabingo’s position at the forefront of the online gaming market in Sweden, and bring attention to our attempt to offer a targeted alternative to the imported multi-national bingo sites which make up a large proportion of the net bingo available to Swedish speakers.”

When the site launched in April, then Manager of Svenskabingo, Philippa Hellberg said, “Our goal is to create a safe, trustworthy yet highly entertaining environment for all our players. We are passionate about bingo and aim to make Svenska Bingo one of Sweden’s most popular bingo sites.”

She also urged Swedish affiliate marketers to get in on the action and promote the site, “We have an excellent and very generous affiliate programme and our affiliate software is excellent and built specially for the Virtue Fusion platform. We are confident we can beat any deal in the Swedish market.”

What can I say? It’s a slow news day.

PartyGaming to Buy Cashcade

Monday, July 20th, 2009

According to the UK’s Sunday Times, PartyGaming has agreed to a deal to purchase online bingo giant Cashcade. The deal, which would be officially announced within the next two days, is reportedly worth £100 million, with an initial £75 million in guaranteed money and up to £25 million depending on how the bingo site fares in 2009 and 2010. The expectations are that the site will fare very well, since Cashcade is the UK’s number-one online bingo site in terms of number of players.

Cashcade is owner of popular online bingo companies Foxy Bingo, Mirror Bingo and Cheeky Bingo. Cashcade’s companies make up 23% of the online bingo market share, making them a popular, though pricey, company for acquisition after they announced they were for sale earlier in the year.

Until it is officially announced, though, and the contract is signed, no one should assume anything. After all, until last week everyone assumed online casino 888.com was going to buy Cashcade, but they pulled out of the bidding war when the stakes got too high. And as for the Sunday Times‘ reporting, I have no experience with the newspaper to know how credible they are, but the likes of Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather have led to a general distrust of the media. Of course, we want you to know that you can trust us nice folks at GamblingReview. We’re different. In any case, the deal is said to be announced within the next two days and GamblingReview will update you when it happens.

NetPlay and STV to Launch Interactive TV Casino

Monday, July 20th, 2009

These days it seems you can’t throw a rock without hitting a story about something cool NetPlay is doing in the world of online and live gambling. Their latest venture is the announcement of the first UK’s first live, interactive television casino with broadcasting group STV.

“NetPlayTV is uniquely positioned to offer terrestrial broadcasters sustainable, fully regulated, revenue-generating programming. We believe demand from the broadcasters for these services will increase significantly over the coming months,” NetPlay CEO Martin Higginson said.

STV is the largest commercial broadcaster in Scotland reaches over four million viewers per month. Programming will begin in August of 2009 on Thursday, Friday, and Saturtday nights. Those tuning in will be able to place real-time cash bets on live games of blackjack, roulette, and bingo.

After the recent reclassification of gambling on television as “teleshopping” public broadcasters have been permitted to air live gaming between midnight and 6am.

This announcement comes less than a month since NetPlay announced alliances with media giant Playtech and European retail casino operator Stanleybet.

888 Turns Down Cashcade: Online Casino Won’t Buy Bingo Firm

Friday, July 17th, 2009

Gigi Levy, the CEO of online casino 888.com, has announced that they will not buy Cashcade, a popular UK online bingo firm. The two parties have been in negotiations for the past three months, but according to Levy, the deal fell through because the price tag was too high. There has been speculation that no deal was made due to a lack of settlement between 888.com and the US government. Levy denies this claim, stating that they had enough bank financing to get the deal done but “we just didn’t want to pay the price they were asking for.”

888 was believed to be the front-runner in the Cashcade bidding war, but with them out of the picture, PartyGaming and an undisclosed company will continue bidding for the firm. According to Levy, those companies “are more interested in it and are willing to pay more for it.”

888 may have decided against purchasing Cashcade, but they will still carry their games despite a change in ownership. Gashcade, the parent company of Foxy Bingo, has a binding contract with 888 that will keep their games on Globalcom Limited, which was bought by 888 in 2007, for at least the next two years.

Unlike competitors PartyGaming and Sportingbet, 888 has not settled with the US government regarding activities that took place, now considered illegal, before the passing the the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA). By settling, the companies gained immunity from prosecution of pre-UIGEA offenses. There has been speculation that a lack of a settlement would hinder 888’s ability to purchase Cashcade, but that has been denied by Levy.

British Youth Taking to Bingo

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

Bingo is no longer solely a way for cat ladies to kill time between “The Golden Girls” marathons in TV Land. Great Britain is seeing a whole new crop of wealthy young professionals playing the game. To be honest, I’ve never really understood British taste. After all, James Blunt is a megastar in England. And I’ll just say it now. I think the American version of “The Office” is funnier. There, I said it.

Research group Mintel has found that during the last ten years, players under 45 years of age now make up 62% of the country’s bingo players. Players 18 to 24 years old now account for 700,000 of Britain’s 3.5 million bingo players. The most obvious reason for this shift toward younger players is the Internet. Online bingo sites have been springing up over the last decade and younger users are more likely to embrace the new technology. Older users, who are still trying to grasp the idea that you can talk on a phone that isn’t connected to the wall, are still sticking to the traditional bingo halls.

Research has shown that younger users enjoy playing online bingo because of its simplicity. You can kill time, and maybe even earn a little money, without having to learn a whole lot of rules or strategy. Online bingo is also a good interactive game, with plenty of time for chatting and trash talking between called out numbers. Some can even use Twitter to keep friends and family up to date: “@JBluntFan It’s a 5. I don’t have a five. Damn. One more for Bingo!”

With this trend expected to continue, more online gaming sites may add bingo to their game selection. In addition, sites that already offer bingo may decide to tailor the experience to a younger demographic, with chat rooms, 3-D animation and better graphics. It seems that a bingo revolution is in process.
