All Slots Casino releases Andoid app

Friday, September 10th, 2010

Online casinos are great, because you can play your favorite casino games without having to visit a brick and mortar casino. If you’re away from home or a laptop computer, though, you may not be able to access your favorite site. Some smartphones are able to run online casino software, but that is often not the case. For that reason, many online casinos are developing mobile casino apps. Most of the gambling apps that have been released, though, have been for the iPhone and iPad. That makes sense, due to Apple’s dominance of the market, but what if you have an Android cell phone? All Slots Casino has you covered, now releasing a mobile gambling app for the Android.

All Slots Casino has released two different Android apps, bringing some of the best All Slots games directly to your cell phone. One is a free blackjack app, which allows you to play online blackjack using play money. It is a good way to play some carefree blackjack games while on the go without worrying about your bankroll. The downside is that you can’t win money. That’s where the other gambling app comes in.

The other new Android app from All Slots is a real-money casino app. That app requires you to download casino software and it then allows you to play casino games for real cash. There are nine games currently available on the Android app, though more should be on the way soon. The games currently available are the progressive slots Major Millions and Mega Moolah, the traditional video slot Tomb Raider, Classic Blackjack, Bingo Bonanza and Roulette.

If you have an Android smartphone and are a fan of the games offered at All Slots Casino, these new gambling apps are a great way to enjoy your casino games on your phone. If you don’t, then sorry, but I guess this blog doesn’t really concern you (on the other hand, maybe you should get an Android phone).

Social media the future of online casinos?

Wednesday, August 4th, 2010

Times are changing and businesses have to adapt to stay relevant. Just as brick and mortar casinos are now facing competition from online casinos, those online casinos could soon face stiff competition from an unlikely source: social media apps.

Games like Zynga’s Texas HoldEm Poker application for Facebook are wildly popular, used by millions of Facebook members worldwide. Currently the games are only played using real money, but if UIGEA is repealed in the United States, which seems more probable by the day, those Facebook apps could soon become real online gambling platforms.

What then are the current online casinos to do? Well, they could always buy those games from the current companies (such as Zynga). Or they could design their own gambling social media apps and hope to compete with those already on Facebook. One thing is certain, though: They cannot ignore the gambling apps market.

Facebook has 500 million active members. Other sites, like MySpace, blogging sites and dating sites add millions more. A recent report says that Web users spend 23% of their time on social media sites, thanks largely to Facebook and Twitter (such as following @Gambling_Review *wink wink*). Web users spend 10% of their time on Farmville, Texas HoldEm Poker and other Facebook apps. That’s more time than people spend using email.

Those numbers show that social media continues to grow and any online business needs to consider social media sites to be either competition or allies. Already many online casinos have released mobile versions of their websites to be played on an iPhone or other smartphone. Some online casinos have released downloadable apps for the iPad and iPod Touch. Online casinos will need to continue evolving as Web surfers continue searching for the next big thing. What it will be no one knows, but the online casinos don’t want to be surprised when it happens.

Playing mobile casino games on the iPhone 4

Friday, July 30th, 2010

By now, it’s pretty much common knowledge that the iPhone 4 sucks. You’ve heard countless complaints from friends, seen countless stories on the news and on the internet, and Apple has even held press conferences where Steve Jobs tries to convince the world that the phone does not, in fact, suck. So what does the bad iPhone mean for mobile casino gamblers?

It means a lot, actually. If you’re talking on the phone to a friend or playing Farmville and you lose your connection due to that terrible antenna, it’s annoying. You have to call your friend back, log back onto Farmville or whatever. But what if you’re logged into a mobile casino playing in an online poker tournament? That would be much worse.

If you’re playing online poker on an iPhone and suddenly lose reception, it could mean missing a hand. It could mean you miss something that someone else has done. It could mean getting booted from the poker tournament. None of these are good and they could cost you money.

So what is Apple’s response for the antenna problem? They are offering free rubber cases. I guess that way, when you throw your phone across the room, it won’t break. That’s a small consolation for an online poker player who just missed a hand during a poker tournament and lost money.

So what do I suggest? Well, maybe you shouldn’t buy the new iPhone. If you do, though, you should follow all of the Apple rules of how to hold the stupid phone. If you’re playing poker at a mobile casino, you should find a spot where you know you have good reception, hold the phone the Apple way, and hope for the best. That’s really all you can do for now. Here’s hoping Apple solves the antenna problem in the near future.

Casino Tropez for iPad, iPhone and other cool stuff

Thursday, April 8th, 2010

Back in my parents’ day, if you wanted to play some blackjack, spin the slots, or try your luck at roulette, you had to pack your bags and head for Vegas. And in my grandparents’ day, well, they didn’t spend money doing fun things like playing games, buying clothes or visiting relatives. Any money they had they spent in the bread lines.

Anyway, people right now are lucky, because there are countless online casinos available on the web. Not only that, though, but many casinos are creating mobile versions for cell phones. Now that the new iPad has been released by Apple, expect your favorite online casinos to create new versions for those and competing tablets.

Casino Tropez is at the forefront of that rush. Casino Tropez has announced that they have released software for the iPhone, iPad and Android mobile devices. The new website for the iPhone and iPad is not surprisingly called iTropez. I’m not sure if they had to get permission from Steve Jobs to but a lowercase i in front of the word. In any case, by expanding their reach into the mobile market, Casino Tropez should increase in popularity.

That means you don’t have to be home in front of the computer to play your favorite Casino Tropez games. If you’re standing in the unemployment line because your employer decided to make cuts in payroll to counteract the negative effects of Obamacare, you can play online blackjack while you wait. If you’re waiting for a taxi because gas has gotten too expensive for you to drive, that might be a good time to play some online slots on your iPad. Of course, if you’re hurting for money like that I would advise playing the free versions of the games.

I don’t have an iPad yet, but if they want to send me one so I can test how well iTropez works on it I would be happy to. By launching new full-featured websites for the iPad, iPhone and Android, Casino Tropez has positioned themselves in the front of the mobile casino market. To enjoy the new sites, visit Casino Tropez today.

All Slots Casino Goes Mobile

Friday, August 28th, 2009

Are you one of those people who are always on the go and don’t have time to sit down at a computer for online gambling? Good news! Now you can visit an online casino by using your cell phone and bet to your heart’s content wherever you are.

Spin3, a software designer that creates games for mobile phones, has partnered with Microgaming, one of the leading designers of online gambling software. As a result of the deal, Spin3 will provide a mobile version of All Slots Casino via the iPhone.

This is great news for anyone who has ever been stranded in an elevator and thought, If only I could play some roulette in here this wouldn’t be so bad. Stuck in a board meeting? Just take our your phone and play some online blackjack. Try not to do a victory dance when you beat the dealer, though. The other people in the meeting will stare. If you want, you can even go on Twitter at the same time. You can play online blackjack and then tweet “playing online blackjack in a board meeting” so everyone will know. Just don’t do that if someone else in the meeting is subscribed to your tweets.

In an industry that, like most industries that don’t have a dollar menu, is struggling, online casinos are looking for new ways to increase revenue. Going mobile increases access to All Slots Casino, which should pay big dividends. Do not be surprised if many other online casinos jump on this trend. There will, of course, be people who think it’s distasteful for the iPhone to allow gambling, but it shouldn’t hurt business any. Apple was able to survive the backlash from their baby-shaking application and injuring babies, at least after they have been born, is frowned upon by probably everyone on the planet. Online gambling isn’t nearly as controversial.

If you don’t have an iPhone (and not all of us are cool enough to), don’t worry. You can still gamble on All Slots Casino via your computer.
