For all you folks out there who crave sweet action at online casinos and also love to follow the big live action tournaments that crop up here and there during the course of the year, it is now official: The 2009 World Series of Poker has just about finished up. The only thing that remains for this amazing casino event, taking place in the heart of Las Vegas, is the main event final table. That particular event is scheduled for the 7th to the 10th of November. For some people that particular date will come around rather quickly but for many others, that seems like a very long time to wait right now.

And in the mean time, everyone who loves online casinos and poker rooms will be speculating about just who will be coming around in the final, final rounds of the main event come this fall. This tournament up until this point has not turned out as anyone originally thought that it would. There have been many surprises. In the beginning, it seemed like just another tournament with a pretty relaxed atmosphere and a lot of goodwill and camaraderie but since then, as the competition has advanced to the final tables, the intensity of the play has gotten pretty fierce.

People from online casino sites are watching and waiting with eager anticipation to see how it will all play out. And you better believe that a great many people have already pinned down some super-sized wagers on who they think the final winner of this year’s World Series of Poker contest will eventually be. Many had predicted Phil Ivey as a top favorite to take the top prize, but now it seems that the field is pretty wide open in a lot of ways.
