Monday, December 28th, 2009

There is a whole lot riding on how players from online casinos and poker rooms end up performing at the World Series of Poker. That is why it has captured everyone’s attention year after year. And now that the final dates have been announced for the 2010 version of the World Series of Poker, the incredible hype and momentum is already beginning to build up to a powerful crescendo.

Careers are made or destroyed depending on which young upstart comes out of nowhere to make it all the way until the final table or which seasoned veteran doesn’t even make it into the second round of the tournament. The stakes are high on a number of different levels and this is why it is so crucial for so many hardcore poker players out there.

People from all different kinds of online casinos and poker rooms try their best to make it to the World Series of Poker. If they do not happen to have what it takes to make it as a contender, then they will still try their damnedest to make it as a spectator because the action is so hot and unforgettable. This year will be the 41st annual World Series of Poker. That is an awful long time for a poker tournament to be running, but there are plenty of reasons why this one in particular has had such enormous popularity and staying power over the years since it first began.

Online casino gamblers cannot get enough of the glory and the glitz and glamour that only Las Vegas seems to be able to serve up so effectively. This is the one event that gets everyone crawling out of the woodwork to attend. And it is totally worth it if you are clever and skillful enough to earn a special bracelet.

Bodog Plans Ahead, Way Ahead

Friday, August 7th, 2009

Don’t think for one minute that in the business of online casinos, it is ever going to be too early to start planning ahead for the next year’s World Series of Poker competition. That is one of the main mantras over at the top online casino Bodog.com. This was incredibly apparent as news was released detailing how the internet casino gambling site has already awarded one of its lucky players with a trip to the main event of next year’s World Series of Poker. Say what? You read that right. This player managed to score a stupendous package worth an estimated $12,000 for the World Series of Poker for…2010! This may seem totally crazy and way to early to even think about the next summer season’s big poker event to take over the Las Vegas gambling scene, but many people apparently think otherwise.

The player who scored the valuable package is named John Ormsby, 25, who hails from the great state of Michigan. He has been dabbling in gambling at online casinos and poker rooms for about four years now and he is super excited for this win, especially since he now has so much time to prepare and pack for this incredible event.

To demonstrate just how early this all is, the main event for the 2009 World Series of Poker still hasn’t even happened yet. That particular event is slated to take place on the 7th of November this coming fall. But those little details never seem to stop the people from Bodog, let alone give them one moment’s pause. But apparently this early bird strategy is paying off because they have had a great number of casino and poker aficionados turn out for a chance to win one of these impressive prize packages. Who will be next?

In the world of online casinos and poker rooms , it is apparently never to early to start planning ahead. That is just what the clever and eager folks over at Bodog.com have done by evidence of their announcement that they already have one lucky player who is headed to the World Series of Poker main event - for 2010! That is incredible. We have not even seen who is going to come out on top of the main event in Las Vegas for 2009, this year! Nonetheless, Bodog.com hosted a Mini Poker Series just a little while ago and the prize waiting at the other end of these series is a trip to next year’s main event held in the heart of Las Vegas for the ever popular World Series of Poker.

All told, there have been 13 different Min Poker Series scheduled as the final contest draws nearer. Everyone in the business of online casinos has watched this year’s poker contest with considerable interest and an almost obsessive fascination. And it truly has proven t be a spectacular year with an amateur casino poker player in the lead position heading into the final rounds.

The players at Bodog have to perform very well among some very stiff competition to either place in the Semi Final Tournament or be being counted among the top ten finishers on the leaderboard of the competition. And this is a super fabulous prize that any online casino poker player in their right mind would have to go all out for in order to try to win it. Among the 82 different casino players who were savvy enough to qualify for the final, a player named John Ormsby finished at the top of the pile and scored the lucrative $12,000 prize package that will send him off to the World Series of Poker for 2010.
