Spain Plans For Its Own Vegas
Tuesday, May 5th, 2009With the phenomenal and incomparable glamour and luxury, Las Vegas has long been held as a marvel of a gambling destination. And of course, with its tremendous success in being one of the go-to places in the entire world for a deluxe casino gambling experience, it has inspired some copycats over time. In Asia, Macau has done everything they can to mimic the magic that takes place on the strip. And now it seems that the nation of Spain is keen on trying to capture the wonders of Las Vegas.
The country’s officials recently made an announcement that detailed their plans to construct a casino-themed city that is roughly based off of Las Vegas. In a time when land-based casinos are struggling to balance out their loss of revenue during this challenging economic time, and online casinos are surging ahead in revenue gains, it seems rather odd to take this step at this time, but that is apparently what they have up their sleeve over in Spain.
While the charms of online casinos can’t compete with the staggering luxury and largess of the Las Vegas casinos, they try to appeal to their players in other ways. Spain is already a rich playground for online casino gamblers and bingo players. Plus there is a huge percentage of the population that loves to get in on the Lotto each and every week. Online bingo, while it doesn’t have the following that it experiences in the United Kingdom, is gaining ground all the time in terms of popularity. The casino city is set to be constructed in the region of Aragon. This could be a huge development for the entire European region if they go through with their plans.
