The Poker Pack Gives Impressive Showing At Aussie Millions

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

I am sure you have heard of the glamorous Rat Pack that consisted of the likes of Sammy Davis Jr. and Frank Sinatra. You may have even heard of the Brat Pack that consisted of young 1980s actors like Demi Moore and Rob Lowe. But the real question in this day and age is whether or not you have ever heard of the Poker Pack. The Poker Pack consists of six of the best and brightest poker players in the world and they are showing their tremendous skills at Melbourne’s Crown Casino this week. They are competing alongside some 2,000 other players in the Aussie Millions Poker Championship.

The Poker Pack’s main function – besides kicking butt and taking names – is to serve as ambassadors to the Asian Poker Tour. They are a group of hand-picked players with Asian backgrounds who have played at all different kinds of online casinos and they are quickly making a name for themselves as a force to be reckoned with. The Poker Pack includes Quinn Do, Nam Le, David Rheem, Kwang Soo Lee, Steve Sung and JC Tran. In a short period of time this remarkable squad has already managed to wow their rivals and build up a faithful base of adoring fans. They are known for their incredible skill in the casino game of poker both as individual players and now as a team of warriors.

Outside of the United States, this online casino group is regarded as one of the top poker playing ensembles anywhere in the world. The company behind them, AsianLogic Limited, which recently acquired the Asian Poker Tour, has all the confidence in the world for their team of poker players.  And why shouldn’t they? They have already made their mark at many online casinos.

Rheem Takes Names In A Number of Tournaments

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008

Asian Logic now is running with a new group of card players. These folks are known as the Poker Pack. I assume this name is trying to take from the famous group of men, the Rat Pack that featured the likes of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Dean Martin. This poker group is set up to be an intimidating new addition. It involves the World Series of Poker 2008 7th-place finisher David “Chino” Rheem. He is coming alongside the formidable players like JC Tran and Steve Sung at a very special time in the world of poker playing. Rheem and Sun have recently qualified for the final table of the $15,000 World Poker Tour Doyle Brunson Classic.

In a way, it seems that Rheem has been given a substantial boost after being signed with the company that is responsible for bringing you the hugely popular Asian Poker Tour. He came out and played his heart out. With his impressive performance, he managed to win the tournament. With this win he was ale to add an additional $1,500,000 from the first place reward to the exciting $1.8 million he earned back in the month of November after scoring a spot at the final table of the World Series of Poker Main Event.

Rheem easily picked off the second-place finisher Justin Young. Although Young had made an impressive run leading up to the final table, when his Q5 flopped top pair, he was no match for Rheem. Rheem held KK for an unbeatable pair and that led him to win the hand and the tournament.
