And it was a record at the time. A player named ‘Lynna1’ scored first prize and was able to walk away with $20,000 in prize money.

The buy-in for the tournament is only $11 and the guarantee for the tournament is an impressive $50,000. As almost 2,000 players have registered so far, the folks at PokerStars are confident that they will have no problem getting in the record-breaking number of participants that they need to break the record. The poker tournament will have as many as 3,500 tables all going at the exact same time. Blinds will move very rapidly thanks to 10-minute Turbo-style increases. The action is will be hot for sure!

A 32-year-old Canadian man named Ryan Hurst was finally announced as the big winner of the 14-week tournament.
