U.S.Gambling Laws Remains Stagnant

Monday, March 8th, 2010

All the United States government Craig’s on indefinitely in terms of resolving issues such as healthcare, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, a terrific and seemingly endless economic recession and unemployment rate, many individual states are taking it upon themselves to be proactive in terms of crafting online casino gambling regulations. One state that has been particularly pro-active in this regard is misery. The state’s congressional delegation has been supporting the regulation effort for online casinos on the federal level but little progress has been made.

The state legislature recently passed an appeal on to Congress to cease the sports betting a band that has been in place. Many people have put their signature on Rep. Barney Frank’s bill that calls for the licensing and regulation of online casinos in the United States.

With the absolute failure in the ineffectiveness of the UIGEA, many lawmakers are calling for a ban of this horribly misguided law. People want a viable solution that is logical and feasible for casino gambling operations and financial institutions to implement.

So far the laws that have been brought into effect have done nothing to combat the woes of this particular issue. People all over the world, including within the United States are spending an incredible amount of money and time at online casinos and other gambling sites. The time is now for the United States to capitalize on the revenue that can be generated in this industry and use it to help fund an economic recovery.
