Nevada Gaming Board Considers New Rules
Friday, March 19th, 2010Apparently some major developments have been taking place with in Las Vegas in the state of Nevada. Certain reports have been circulating throughout the industry to the Nevada Gaming Control Board is contemplating changing the rules to impose on the casino operators. This is all in relation to online casinos and assorted gambling sites and the relationship that they have with casino operators. Apparently board members are hoping to establish policies for licensees that were not previously restricted in their foreign Internet casino gaming ventures.
It is still too early to determine just what sort of impact these rules could have on the market of online casinos. We’ve the negative downturn in revenue that has been experienced in Las Vegas and across the entire state of Nevada, many people are claiming that the Control Board definitely needs to put some new rules in place to address these new issues that have cropped up. Many gaming licensees are careful to follow the rules and others are not held to the same standards.
This is because there is a lack of a policy. Many people are calling for the gaming board to put their heads together and figure out some sort of viable and effective policy to control this particular issue. Another issue that is of major concern for gambling regulators its advertising. There are strict rules for what is allowed at land-based casino operations but that does not automatically translate to what is acceptable for Internet casinos. It will be interesting to see what develops with and what the Nevada Gaming Control Board comes up with to address this particular issue.
