CityCenter Has Las Vegas Openings

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

One of the biggest hopes for all of the people who have been working hard on the CityCenter project in the heart of Las Vegas is that this will rejuvenate the rather tired and staid casino gambling market. The community in Las Vegas is in dire need of some extra revenue to rebuild what has been lost over the course of this demoralizing economic recession. Folks behind the scenes at the MGM Mirage and several other casino developers that are based in Las Vegas are relying on the potential that the CityCenter project holds for this particular aim. Online Casinos have taken away a substantial portion of business for Las Vegas casinos. People prefer to play at online casino sites from the comfort of their own hoe computer.

In this day and age, it is just more economically feasible to play at online casinos than it is to venture all the way to Las Vegas to get your gamble on. But with CityCenter, everyone involved in the huge project is hoping that this will be the key component to bringing customers back to Las Vegas. One of the top draws for the City Center is the Aria Resort & Casino and it is scheduled to open in roughly two weeks. A lot is riding on the success of this operation.

Casino operators everywhere will be looking to see how the CityCenter project performs. And the staff from MGM has made sure to open up many of the other attractions recently just to keep the momentum going ahead strong. Many of the attractions are aimed at the super high roller demographic and it will be interesting to see whether or not that strategy pays off. I suppose that if anyone still has money to spend these days when the financial situation is so completely bleak, it is those people.

This is a highly anticipated event that everyone in the online casino business was incredibly eager to get in on. One of the major visitors to this Las Vegas event was the highly successful British internet casino software developer WagerWorks. WagerWorks Delivers Big In Las Vegas

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

If you have been scooping out the scene looking for companies associated with online casinos that are committed to taking their game to the next level in terms of quality and cutting edge technology, then you should definitely get informed about what WagerWorks has been up to lately. They are going to be busy bees down in the heart of Las Vegas at the Global Gaming Exhibition. Known for supplying some of the most sensational online casino software to the United Kingdom market in addition to a number of other key places throughout the world, WagerWorks has been upping the ante in some major ways over the course of the last few months.

For developers of software for online casinos, you are really only as good as the last games that you delivered to the market. If that is our criteria to measure with, the folks behind the scenes at WagerWorks have been doing a bang-up job on a number of different levels. For starters, they are bringing to the public some stellar titles that include such gems as Super Hoot Loot, Rainbow Riches, Win Big Shindig, Transformers: Ultimate Payback and Dungeons and Dragons: Crystal Caverns.

What more could you possibly ask for in a casino game? Every style and theme variation is pretty much covered in that potent mixture of gambling magic. As a subsidiary of International Game Technology, WagerWorks has been hard at work building up their software portfolio to the point where only a few of the top casino operations are still able to compete at the same scale as them.

WSOP Goes Into Final Days

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

The action sure heated up quickly at the World Series of Poker final table. All eyes of players who follow the adventures at online casinos and international tournaments were glued to the outcome of the last several games of this series. With a top prize of $8.5 million, you better believe that the online casino players wish that it were them there filling in the last couple of spots in the contest. This is a casino gambler’s dream scenario with so much prestige and money on the line. What more could you ask for in a poker playing duel?

One of the last two contenders is a 21-year-old from Michigan who, even though he is incredibly young still, he is already a formidable professional poker player. His name is Joseph Cada. The other major contender who was part of the final two players in this year’s World Series of Poker extravaganza was no surprise since he was one of the frontrunners heading into this extraordinary casino competition - Darvin Moon.

Moon has been living out the dream of players from online casinos for quite some time and with this success in the World Series of Poker tournament, he has sealed the deal in terms of capturing the respect and admiration of casino gamblers and operators the world over. It just doesn’t seem to get any better than this!

While many people had predicted the professional poker player Phil Ivey would remain in for quite some time, he managed to get ousted from the contest early on after he found himself pushing all-in up against the unstoppable Darvin Moon. Sometimes that is just the way the chips are going to fall.

Harrahs Teams With 888 For Online

Friday, September 25th, 2009

It is one thing to make a big plunge into a swimming pool, but it is an entirely more involved scenario when a land-based casino company decided to make the move into the world of online casinos. That is precisely the direction that the wildly successful land-based casino giant Harrah’s Entertainment has decided to do. The company has managed to carve out an impressive niche in Las Vegas, but that is no longer enough for the ambitious casino operation. They are looking to expand into the next frontier of the gambling industry and that move inevitably led them into the online casino realm.

Now things are getting very exciting for this soon-to-be big time mover and shaker among online casinos because they have chosen to team up with the 888 gambling group. Harrah’s may not have much experience in regard to how everything works with internet casinos, but with 888 at their side, it is almost a given that the company will find nothing but sure success in the road ahead. They even went so far as to hire a seasoned industry operative (an exPartyPoker CEO) to help run their interactive entertainment efforts.

That addition happened earlier this past summer. From then until now, the murmurings from the Harrah’s people have been relatively minor and rare, but things are really starting to turn the corner and heat up. 888 is going to be right there working alongside the people from Harrah’s as they begin to establish a foothold and develop projects such as Caesars Palace and the World Series of Poker. These are two major brands that are going to do remarkably well online.

Darvin The Favored WSOP Player

Friday, August 14th, 2009

While many people have already laid down a considerable chunk of cash in bets on who the final winner of this year’s World Series of Poker will be, some people have held back, saying that it is not wise to count your chickens before they hatch. Well, most people are intent to belong to the other school of thought and everybody who attends this school has got some serious money placed down on amateur player Darvin Moon taking home to top prize once November rolls around.

This is not the way anyone from the world of online casinos thought the competition would go. Everyone was eager to predict that one of the well-known professional players such as Phil Ivey would walk away as the big winner of the casino event. There was a ton of speculation across the board among different online casino sites, but this Las Vegas gambling competition has surprised a great many people so far and the surprises may just keep coming as the main event draws nearer.

Fans of online casinos have been watching all summer long as the wonders and thrills of the World Series of Poker have played out in the heart of Las Vegas. This is arguably the biggest casino gambling event of the entire year and no one who has any interest in the gambling industry would willingly want to sit it out.

At a variety of sports books and different betting sites, internet casino players have come on in droves to put money down on who they think will be the big top finisher when the dust settles. Not everyone is so keen on what other are calling the inevitable win by Darvin Moon. Some are putting their money on the man Buchanan who has been skilled enough so far in this competition to be in the second place position heading into the final main event.

Moon Now Favored To Win WSOP

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

It seems that the speculation in Las Vegas is reaching huge booming levels thanks to the performance of a few key players who are going for glory in the World Series of Poker competition in the heart of Las Vegas.

Right now, word on the street and the word at many online casinos and other gambling sites is that an amateur poker player named Darvin Moon is now the fan favorite to take the big prize. That will all be determined later on this fall during the month of November. That is when all eyes from the online casino and professional poker playing world will be glued to the comings and goings in Las Vegas. Casino gambling doesn’t seem to get much hotter or more highly anticipated than this.

This time around the action has really been shaken up. While fans watching the events take place from their favorite online casinos and televised gambling action had their sights originally pinned on the lapel of professional poker player hot shot Phil Ivey, that is no longer the case. It appears that Darvin Moon has come out of nowhere and is now expected by most of the reputable bookmakers in the business to be the favored casino poker player to take home the grand prize in the main event.

Who knows if this particular session of speculation could actually spell the future or if it is just another case of leaping to conclusions in a hasty manner. Moon works as a logger and he is originally from Oakland, Maryland. He is currently in the lead right now out of the nine finalists who have still managed to make it this far into the Las Vegas poker competition.

Frank Speaks In Vegas At WSOP

Friday, July 10th, 2009

Everyone who is even remotely invested in the future of online casinos within the United States listened quite intently recently as Representative Barney Frank spoke to poker players and other industry operatives at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Frank indicated in his address that he is still thoroughly committed to pushing along with his efforts to get his proposed bill that will aim at regulating online casino gambling sites once and for all within America. Of course, Frank has faced considerable uphill challenges on his path along the way up to this point, and he acknowledges that the battle is far from over. For one thing, the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act is still in existence.

Everyone out there who claims to be a true fan of online casinos in the United States should receive that fact as basically a big slap in the face. It is a slap in the face to anyone who thinks that they should be able to exercise their basic rights in terms of choosing to patron different casino gaming sites no matter where they may live. Frank was invited to participated in the festivities in Las Vegas for the World Series of Poker as a special guest of honor.

But he did mention that there have been a series of delays in terms of getting the bill all the way to the hearing stage because of the recession that is looming over the heads of politicians everywhere in America these days. It is a tricky situation and a bit of a difficult time to get issues that are not among the very top concerns (the economy, the wars, global warming, immigration, etc.) heard in a swift manner. That is just not in the cards right now. No pun intended.
