Las Vegas Visitors Gamble Less

While the power and increasing popularity of online casinos has diminished what the power of Las Vegas in some ways, they continue to command a powerful presence overall. Online casino sites cannot begin to compete with the glamour and a lower of sin city.
Over the month of April, the tourism agency that controls promoting the sites and wonders of Las Vegas have indicated that there was a small increase in visitors compared with the same month back in 2009. This is incredibly heartening news sense the Las Vegas gambling business has seen some rather bleak days economically lately. The one bad thing involved in the increase of visitors is that although there were 3.2 million visitors, they ended up spending less money on gambling overall.
No one is able to correctly determine whether or not they chose to spend their money at online casinos as opposed to Atlanta-based casinos located in the heart of Las Vegas. His could be one explanation, but we all know that the blistering and seemingly endless economic recession has played a huge role in curbing the amount of tourism and the amount of revenue that is being brought into the Las Vegas community.
Overall in Clark County, gambling revenue was shown to drop 6.1% down to just under 6 feet $690 million. The strip in Las Vegas showed drop in gambling revenue of less than one cent down to 437 million. It’ll be interesting to see how Las Vegas casino revenue is a book fair in the coming months.
