Red & Green Casinos Open

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

It surely must have been partially out of fear. The decision by the officials from Intertops, one of the most successful online casinos in the business, to re-enter the United States market came about, no question due to the fear of losing even more revenue than they had already lost in not being able to serve their American customers. It wasn’t even an initiative that was taken up by the people at Intertops in the first place to stop accepting online casino players who reside within the United States. That decision came down from the big guns at Microgaming, the casino software developer that supplies Intertops and many other Internet gambling operations with their highly coveted and valuable software platform. But now the casino players who flock to Intertops are overjoyed with the choice to open up an entirely new limb of their services just so they can cater once again to the American demographic. Now Intertops is able to take full advantage of the new offerings that they have made available to their faithful legion of American players who were all just waiting in the wings for the tide to change. And that time has finally come. For American players, Intertops has created a Red casino version that will be run using casino software from Real Time Gaming instead of Microgaming software.

But for the rest of the world, if there happen to be any die-hard Microgaming software fanatics out there who are vehemently opposed to tainting their online gaming experience with any other type of platform that other online casinos may use, there is the Green casino that is still powered by Microgaming. Utimately, it looks as if Intertops has been successful in finding the exact perfect solution to cater to all of their players without having to exclude anyone.

Intertops Goes Red & Green

Saturday, May 30th, 2009

It seems like the buck stops here for Intertops in terms of no longer being able to reject players who reside within the United States. The company has had to watch as other businesses devoted to online casinos continue to thrive and flourish even in this bleak economic state because they are still accepting American players. The plan for the players who frequently visit the online casino magic of Intertops is to have two fabulous choices: the Red version and the Green version. The Red version of the casino will now be letting players who live in the United States come on and have a blast while the Green casino that Intertops will also be operating will only accept players from outside of the United States.Obviously this decision to branch out and return to the American player base that is such a high contributor to so many online casinos on the market has hurt the relationship between Intertops and Microgaming but the officials from Intetops finally came to the point where their long-standing relationship with the casino software developer was just not as important as being able to serve their loyal American players base. It will be interesting to see how this particular business strategy will pay off in the future.

Microgaming was one of the main companies to make the difficult but firm decision to no longer accept American players at any of the casinos that are powered by their software because of the threats that they did not want to risk in relation to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. But now, with the introduction of Congressman Barney Frank’s new bill, the world of Internet gambling in the United States could get turned on its head so it is anybody’s guess what the future will hold.
