Gambling Bills Could Help Economy
Saturday, October 3rd, 2009It seems that Bob Barr is once again making an appearance in the press these days, but this time it is not in regards to a hopeful presidential run, it is in regard to the Libertarian Party member’s stance on the future of online casinos in the United States. Barr has indicated that he thinks the poor condition of the national economy is going to hold back any sort of real progress that may have at one point been possible is going to need an overhaul. What that should look like, he has declared, is that the federal government needs to pass bills that will help boost the struggling economy and being to take us down the road toward recovery.
This should definitely include legalizing and regulating online casinos so that the American government can harness the revenue gained from taxing the gambling sites and use it to help stabilize the economy. It makes a whole lot of sense to me and to many other people who have been advocating for the legalization of internet casinos in America for a number of years now.
There have been a number of different bills proposed by the likes of Jim McDermott, Robert Menendez and Barney Frank that are worthy of the government’s attention. We have been struggling for a way to rejuvenate the national financial situation and now there is one that is flashing its blinking lights right in our face and we are not giving it the attention it deserves. The bills that have been proposed by these politicians for internet casino regulations are strong and point us in the direction of a financial solution. What more do we need to go on than that?
