Caesars Palace Hosts Dream Team Poker Tourney

Friday, March 27th, 2009

For folks out there who are drawn to the bright lights and high-energy glamour that the Las Vegas strip provides for its visitors, there is some super exciting events scheduled for Caesar’s Palace in the final days of the month of March. The casino will be hopping with fans of online casinos and the thrills and excitement of Dream Team Poker’s second tournament. The event is already just about sold out and that is pretty outstanding seeing as how it comes with a $550 buy-in price tag.

The event is being lauded as a must-see event among fans of online casino and poker games since the headliners scheduled to appear include Team Favorites. Team Favorites includes one of the top professional players over at Ultimate Bet, Phil Hellmuth plus Jerry Buss, the owner of the Los Angeles Lakers and Mike Matusow. With just the power and notoriety of these three names this super poker event is shaping up to be one of the premier competitions of the year 2009.

With competitors of this caliber, it is no wonder that people from all over the world of online casinos have their eyes glued to the sunset strip. Las Vegas casinos have always been known for delivering top-notch competitions and this one should prove to be no different. Hellmuth, for one, comes into the games in possession of a record eleven World Series of Poker bracelets. He was also the champion player of the main event back in 1989. That is quite a long time to be at the front of the pack in such a highly competitive field of players. Back then, he took home the big prize at a young and vulnerable 24 years of age.

Kowal Joins Dream Team Poker

Saturday, February 28th, 2009

One of the top names in online casinos and poker rooms, Dream Team Poker, has recently made a fantastic addition to their management team. They recently announced that a woman named Katherine Kowal is going to join the company in the position of director of business development. They are now leading up to the excitement that comes with hosting their second-ever major tournament. It is scheduled to be held at Caesar’s Palace in the heart of Las Vegas. The very first event for this Beverly Hills-based business took place back in November at the Hard Rock.

Kowal is by no means new to the online casino and poker world. One of her past positions in the caisno and gambling industry was the director of casino and player relations for the World Poker Tour. During this particular stint from her record of employment it was partly up to her to help bridge the communications gap between casino players and online casinos and land-based casinos both within the United States and all around the globe.

Dream Team Poker is going to be looking to Kowal to put the company on the right track in this challenging and highly competitive market. Playing poker and other casino games in teams can be incredibly complex and confusing so it will be partially up to Kowal to steer the ship in the right direction and to manage the progress of the company. For her part, Kowal has said that she is very happy to return to a smaller scale group and to return to some of the fundamental she began this stage of her career in.
