Revenue Losses For Cryptologic

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

While the industry of online casinos marches ahead at a rapid pace, some businesses are not faring as well as they have in past years. Recently the top online casino software supplier Cryptologic released their financial results to the public. The numbers indicate a loss in revenue that is a result of lower wagering activity across the entire online casino industry. Of course, the economic recession that is growing and growing day by day is one of the main factors in this particular debacle. Net losses totaled 35.5 million with a decrease in revenue down to 39.8 million. Back in 2008, that same thing to figure came in at 61.5 million. For a company in the industry of online casinos that is accustomed to a great deal of success in every way possible, this comes as a huge blow.

One of the only bright side to this particular scenario is that the revenue from branded games has been boosted up to 2.8 million. Compared to the $300,000 in this respect that was earned during 2008 that is a considerable increase. All told branded games revenue amounted to 7.1% of the total revenue for this past year.

The company managed to sign some incredibly loop or gives an exclusive deals with companies such as DC comics to bring an exciting range of casino slot games to the market. There are many more to come so hopefully 2010 can bring a brighter year financially for Cryptologic than 2009 has proven to be. Of course, there are many contributing factors and it is way too early to predict one way or the other which way things will go.
