Harrahs Pushes Into Online Casino Market

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

Since Harrah’s Entertainment has made such an indelible impression on the industry of land-based casinos, especially within the confines of the bright lights and glamour of Las Vegas, it makes since that the company would know just the perfect path to take that will help it gain an incredibly strong foothold in the market of online casinos as well. This foray into a fresh new industry has been a seemingly easy challenge for the people behind the scenes at Harrah’s to confront. They have partnered up with the online casino operations powerhouse 888 Holdings and are now set to bring their highly successful brand names World Series of Poker and Caesars Palace to the internet casino realm.

Most every operator of online casinos has their eyes and ears tuned in and focused on what Harrah’s is going to do next. Harrah’s has been working on developing their collection of games with Dragonfish, a well known and highly respected name for casino software. They are highly regarded for having produced some of the top poker and casino software that players have come to rely on and crave as if it were some sort of addiction.

Dragonfish will also be supplying their customer support, VIP services, ePayments, CRM and more to build a solid and commendable and highly reliable platform for Harrah’s to take their current business venture to the next level and soon be a major contender in the internet gambling market. It is surely too early to predict whether or not Harrah’s will be able to make the same caliber of mark it has left on the land-based casino business on its online counterpart, but the potential is definitely there.

Harrahs Moves Forward With Brands

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

Ever since the big powerful people behind the scenes at Harrah’s Entertainment decided that they would make the jump into the world of online casinos, they have been moving forward at a very aggressive pace. This momentum has caused many other online casino operators to stand up and take notice of the choices they are making. The latest deal that this casino empire has crafted would bring it together with a couple of very highly regarded and well known brands, Caesar’s Casino and the World Series of Poker.

For fans of online casinos the world over, these two brands are closely connected with Las Vegas and also closely connected with the wonders of gambling in general. So far there has been no sort of announcement as to when the introduction date will occur but over the course of the coming year and a half or so the casino gambling company will be fine-tuning all of the details to make sure that everything is going to run as smoothly as possible.

Harrah’s Entertainment has been working closely alongside 888, one of the top online gambling groups in the world to ensure that this business venture of theirs achieves all that it possibly can. The company’s agreement with Dragonfish as stands does not include room for Harrah’s to make a lot of headway in regard to the United States casino player market because 888 has been known to keep away from the American system of gambling in most ways. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out in the coming months and how these sorts of decisions impact the company’s capabilities.

All-Women Team Contends For Big Prize In Vegas

Friday, March 27th, 2009

If you have some love for female poker players, there may be no better place to show a little love than at Caesars Palace in the heart of Las Vegas. This is the time of year to really come out and show your support. Fans of online casinos and poker rooms will be coming from far and wide to get in on the action at the Dream Team Poker tournament. Making an exciting appearance at the fiercely competitive contest will be an all-women team. The members of the team will be taking their considerable poker skills and years of experience to compete against some of the top male contenders in the world. They have been given the name “Team Yo Mama” and they are looking to give the boys a run for the money.

The team is made up of players you certainly may have heard of if you spend any time at online casinos or keep up on industry news. The players are the very last women who were standing when everything was said and done at the end of the 2008 and 2007 World Series of Poker Main Events. Those casino players include Tiffany Michelle, a top player connected to Ultimate Bet, Maria Ho and Lacey Jones. This team is surely one to take note of for any players who are intent on buying into the live tournament casino contest.

Other male players are set to command a strong showing at the competition as well. Players like Mike Matusow and Jerry Buss are well known on the poker circuit. They have been around the block and have been competing in televised competitions for some time now. Despite Buss already having a day job as the owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, don’t count him out just yet.

Caesars Palace Hosts Dream Team Poker Tourney

Friday, March 27th, 2009

For folks out there who are drawn to the bright lights and high-energy glamour that the Las Vegas strip provides for its visitors, there is some super exciting events scheduled for Caesar’s Palace in the final days of the month of March. The casino will be hopping with fans of online casinos and the thrills and excitement of Dream Team Poker’s second tournament. The event is already just about sold out and that is pretty outstanding seeing as how it comes with a $550 buy-in price tag.

The event is being lauded as a must-see event among fans of online casino and poker games since the headliners scheduled to appear include Team Favorites. Team Favorites includes one of the top professional players over at Ultimate Bet, Phil Hellmuth plus Jerry Buss, the owner of the Los Angeles Lakers and Mike Matusow. With just the power and notoriety of these three names this super poker event is shaping up to be one of the premier competitions of the year 2009.

With competitors of this caliber, it is no wonder that people from all over the world of online casinos have their eyes glued to the sunset strip. Las Vegas casinos have always been known for delivering top-notch competitions and this one should prove to be no different. Hellmuth, for one, comes into the games in possession of a record eleven World Series of Poker bracelets. He was also the champion player of the main event back in 1989. That is quite a long time to be at the front of the pack in such a highly competitive field of players. Back then, he took home the big prize at a young and vulnerable 24 years of age.

Poker Fever Hits Caesars Palace

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

As the dates are finally upon us for the long-awaited 2009 National Heads Up Poker Championship, the competition is scheduled to get underway on the 5th of March and finish up on the 8th of March. This competition is supposed to be more intense than ever before since the event organizers have raised the stakes in terms of who is good enough to earn an invitation to the contest. Not just anyone can saunter into Caesar’s Palace and hope to get in on that casino action. That may be able to happen when you play games at online casinos but that is not the case for this casino event. For this reason, this will be one of the most highly competitive events in the history of poker events.

For a player who frequents online casinos and poker rooms, attending this contest would be a dream come true. The draw party itself is going to be a phenomenal event. It is scheduled to take place at Pure, one of the hottest nightclubs on the entire strip in Sin City. It is normally packed with exciting and scandalous celebrities.

During the three days of feisty poker competition, the field of talented players will be narrowed down to only the cream of the crop. It will take more than a few tricks and a considerable wealth of strategy to get beyond the beginning rounds of play. With such an elite field of players, one would think that it would be quite intimidation to even attempt to compete against such powerful opponents but experienced players use that sort of competitive energy to get fired up to do their very best.

Heads Up Poker Contest Increases Criteria

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

The list of players who have been invited to compete in the 2009 National Heads Up Poker Championship is literally a Who’s Who compilation of the best casino players in the world. All the players who love to game at their favorite online casinos will have their eyeballs glued to the screen as they watch this superstar-packed competition. Out of all the online casino, land-based casino and various poker tournaments that take place throughout the year, it is this one that remains high on the list of everyone’s favorites. One of the features that sets this casino competition apart from so many of the others is the rigid standards and qualifications the players must meet in order to receive an invitation to compete in this lauded event.

It is not just anybody they will allow to come into Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas from March 5th to March 8th to get in on this action. It takes more than spending a few hours of time playing games at online casinos to build up enough skills to be capable of holding your own amidst such formidable rivals. One of the reasons the competition is so fierce is because the tournament organizers have recently made the player selection process even more intense.

Some of the guidelines for admitting players into the National Heads Up Poker Championship include being a past champion of this event or one of the runners-up from the last two years or a player who had advanced all the way to the semi-finals during the previous year’s casino contest. You could also hope to qualify if you are a World Series of Poker Main Event champion or the previous year’s runner-up.

Caesars Palace Hosts Heads Up Poker Contest

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

One of the most highly anticipated casino events is taking place right as you read this. It is the long-awaited 2009 National Heads Up Poker Championship. Seemingly every other player who loves to go to online casinos would give their right thumb just to be able to be a part of one hand in this tremendous competition. The casino tournament goes from the 5th of March through the 8th of March. It is in the world-famous Caesars Palace in the heart of Las Vegas. For fans of online casinos and fierce poker contests, this is one of the top favorite events of the entire year.

The list of the 64 players that have signed on to participate in this event are some of the best-known and brightest stars in the world of online casino and poker playing. With so much talent in the competition, it is very hard to pick a favorite competitor, but for everyone who follows casino and poker tournaments in general, of course each person has someone they love to watch play. This is an exclusive competition in which you must be extended an invitation in order to compete. This is not just for any random Tom, Ned or Joe off the street.

Due to considerable criticism coming from players and some of the sponsors throughout the past few years, the officials from the tournament have established an extensive list of qualifications that players must meet in order to be invited to participate in the event.

Hotels In Las Vegas Bring Lawsuit Against Dead Man

Friday, February 13th, 2009

Although pursuing a lawsuit against a man who is technically dead may seem like a wildly insane idea, it appears as though both Caesars Palace and Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas are engaged in that very activity. The man they are going after beyond the grave is named Ryan Clark. He died back in September of last year. Apparently at the time of his death, he was in debt to the two casinos by at least $715,000. This is one of those situations that makes it seem a whole lot better and more anonymous to spend your time playing at online casinos instead of land-based casinos. They don’t seem to take kindly to this kind of behavior in Sin City.

Ryan Clark had been writing some bad checks to pay off portions of the $565,00 worth of debt that he owed to Caesars Palace. And Clark died owing some $150,000 to the Hard Rock Hotel. Upon entering into the news of Clark’s death the two casinos began the process of pursuing their lawsuits against the people who were benefactors of Clark’s estate. Since then, Clark’s estate has not managed to repay the value of the debt owed. This is a pretty sticky situation. At least when you play at an online casino, the payment processing options seem to take the chance of writing or receiving a bad check out of the equation to protect the interests of both parties.

If you love online casinos and land-based casinos, just keep in mind that you want to avoid owing money to some of the biggest casinos in the world when you finally kick the bucket. Just a suggestion.

Dream Team Poker Schedules Tournament At Caesars Palace

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

If you are a burgeoning poker player and are really craving a chance to get out and test your skills against some of the best players in the world, you may now have an opening to satisfy that particular urge. Playing poker on your favorite online casinos can really test you well and help you determine which areas you need more practice in or which strategies you need to develop further. They recently announced that they have scheduled a special tournament that will be open to the public. That means you!

This phenomenal poker event has been set to take place in Caesar’s Palace between the 27th and the 29th of March later on this year. You have between now and then to go onto your favorite online casinos and practice, practice, practice until you feel you have perfected your skills. Dream Team Poker is expecting some 100 different teams to compete in the event. That will be more than 300 people vying for the top prizes. The buy-in is pretty reasonable at only $500 + $50 for each interested casino player.

For that decent buy-in fee, each player will receive snazzy custom team jerseys to really look like they mean business, great deals on hotel rooms and, most importantly, admission to the winner’s ceremony and to the welcome party. For those of you who are used to just sitting back while playing at your favorite online casino, this is going to be the real deal and it is a great chance to get in some great competition and get exposed to some high-roller glamour.

Caesars Gives Players Chance to Win Free Seat at Heads-Up Tournament

Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

With the current down-in-the-dumps atmosphere surrounding our national economy right now, the Las Vegas strip has been hit pretty hard. Fortunately for those folks out there who are still in the mood to get in on some action at the mecca of bright lights and sordid scandals, Las Vegas poker rooms are doing everything they can to keep their rooms vibrant and active. And what that means for you is a splendid array of awesome promotional deals.

How would you like to play in the invitation-only, celebrity-stocked National Heads-up Poker Championship on NBC? What is normally a $20,000 buy-in could be yours absolutely free!

For their big free-roll events that will come up in early 2009, Caesars is fine-tuning the details and trying to determine how to bring in the most business to get their revenue back on up to a healthy level. Caesars is bringing you the chance for the heads-up championship seat.

In order to be eligible to win, players must first log at least 50 hours in their poker rooms during the month of January. And once you have qualified for that, you will participate in a free shootout tournament against all the other players who logged enough hours. From there, the top two players from each table will score enough money to make it into the second phase of the free-roll tournament.

The second phase involves pitting the remaining players in a heads-up tourney in which the winner will ultimately claim the $20,000 seat and the rest of the folks there will have to divide up the remainder of the $80,000 prize pool.
