Although the stock market continues to produce shockingly poor numbers almost across the board, both on a national and international level, many international investors are sizing up the prospects of putting their money towards online casino stocks. More and more it is being regarded as a market sector that may be full of rich potential in the future once the economy gets turned around in the right direction.

With the increasing level of global capitalization of the Internet gambling market averaging about $10 billion, initial estimates for the growth that it may experience are huge. A projection of as much as $100 billion in growth is estimated for over the next ten years. That figure is incredible – enough to make your jaw hit the floor. Companies that have shown interest typically trade at about 15 to 20 times their actual earnings. Beyond others that make come into play during that amount of time, the market sector could reach an estimated value of approximately $2 trillion. That would be a whopping 200 times increase in market share if you are comparing current levels right now.

Keep in mind, however, that the stocks of many Internet gambling companies dove dramatically with the market seeing an average decline of about 50% drops from their original values. There was no great mystery as to the circumstances that serves as the catalyst to these developments. There was a bit of a witch hunt against certain companies that were tied to the online gambling industry. Nonetheless, the stocks of these companies have, for the most part, made a remarkable recovery since that period of time and most are still holding their own even in the current unsavory financial market.
