It seems that Harrah’s Entertainment is embarking on a new and exciting world by venturing into business based on online casinos. After achieving a great deal of success in the land-based casino business, the officials from the head of the company have decided that it is finally time to delve in to internet gambling in a big way. Representatives from the company have caught on to the notion that once the online casino business within the United States is properly regulated, there will be oodles and oodles of money to be made. They want to be there to take advantage of it when it does happen. With Congressman Barney Frank pushing his latest proposal through the government with the hopes of also being successful in repealing the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.The United States government could stand to make as $2 billion to $6 billion per year. Even for an industry that is as lucrative as the one that is devoted to online casinos, that is quite a bit of money. For this reason, Harrah’s might find out that they are not the only ones who are making this bold move into the online casino realm.

Many forces located all around the United States are looking to do everything in their power to push forward and show their support with this legislation so that casinos on the internet can be properly licensed, regulated and taxed. Even companies such as the California-based Youbet has jumped on this bandwagon to try to push for this big deal to come through so that everyone invested in the casino business is able to benefit on the other end.
