EU Has Own Internal Gambling Mess

While the European Union manages to sit in judgment of how poorly the United States is dealing with their laws for online casinos, they have gotten themselves into their on pickle. The EU has been delivering some hardline criticism on the U.S. online casino policies for denying any possibilities of accepting trade from foreign online casinos.

The EU goes on to claim that America is negatively targeting a handful of successful and highly competitive internet casino gambling sites that are based in Europe and that the U.S. government’s actions are technically in direct violation of World Trade Organization guidelines in terms of the reported commitment to free trade that has previously been agreed to.

But the European Union is currently battling with some intense problems of their own in regard to the governing and legal matters of online casinos. It appears that many of the allegedly unified markets are not allowing for fair competition for casino operators across the board either. Nonetheless, legislators from within the United States government have almost made a point of ignoring the criticisms and additional demands that have been sent their way from the European Union. The European Union, however, does itself no favor by having their own gambling market all out of whack.

The European Union should go ahead and back off a little bit from their attack on the legislation in place for online gambling in America until they are able to settle their own situation. Otherwise, their credibility as a governing body representative of a major region of the gambling world, goes right out the window. We in America are only able to stand hypocrisy when it is committed by our own elected officials - not by those of other nations.
