Slotland Generous With Their Players

Friday, February 27th, 2009

One of the reasons the online casino site Slotland has managed to maintain such a hefty and faithful following of players during all these years since it first launched is because of their highly generous bonus programs. One of the most recent examples that has set it apart from other online casinos out there is that many of Slotland’s players recently came across an extra $500 to $15,000 that had been deposited in their casino accounts. What kind of pleasant mystery could be hind this wonderful development? Well, it was all part of Slotland’s annual bonus prize programs. All told, the folks at Slotland managed to give away some $68,500 worth of free bonu draw prize money throughout the last year.

They have already committed themselves to doing the exact same thing during the year of 2009 so the message is that is surely pays to choose to play games at Slotland versus playing at other online casinos. Who would dare refuse receiving free money in their account? Not me. Through a series of random drawings, Slotland, known for their stellar collection of video poker games and slot machines, ends up giving away about $13,200 worth of prize money here and there during this current year. An additional $55,500 will also be divided among the players who end up depositing the most money at the online casino.

Compared to what other casino offer, this is a tremendous display of generosity that cannot be overlooked. This is all in addition to the fantastic progressive jackpots that always have super values that number into the six-figure range about every six weeks or so.

Citadel Offers New Online Payment Solution

Friday, February 27th, 2009

There are new payment options over at PartyGaming these days and it is well worth heading over there and taking advantage of it. This new change will mostly affect the European market of players who frequently pay visits to online casinos but it is good news for everyone since more choices is always better. Citadel Commerce will now be processing instantaneous online banking transactions. PartyGaming, one of the big dominating forces among different online casino and gambling groups throughout Europe has already been working for quite some time in order to bring Citadel’s online banking solutions to their clients. Their banking solutions involve a wite labeled payment processing system that give support for relatively cheap fast and instantaneous online banking transfers. For fans of online casinos and all the good fun gaming they entail, this is a marvelous new development.

This new solution will be available in more than 38 different countries and it will end up being fully integrated into Citadel’s cashier system for fast and easy use. This new payment method, brought to casino players from the people behind Citadel, is meant to make processing of online payments a whole lot easier.

It seems that things have mostly been moving in the opposite direction most recently with so many online transaction payment processors pulling out of the United States market or rejecting casino players from other countries because of their strictly enforced online gambling laws. Being able to provide their clients with low-cost and super speedy online banking transactions has always been a priority for the folks at PartyGaming and now players have one more reliable and solid option.

Friday, February 27th, 2009

Someone recently came into some big-time luck over at Craps.com. Out of all of the different online casinos out there on the market, this one just brought a substantial chunk of change. The best part is that the player only had to pay 25 cents to score this big pile of money. How sweet is that? The player, a Canadian woman who players under the name Marie-Claire P ended up winning the big prize while playing at the Queen of Pyramids slot machine. This is one of the more popular online casino slots games for many people and it sure can deliver some big cash prizes since it has a progressive jackpot.

The player chose to play at Craps.com out of all the other online casinos out there and in just a short period of time managed to score a jackpot win of $119,593. That is not chump change in anybody’s world. Craps.com is a relatively new casino site. They just past the two-year mark since they first launched. This win was particularly impressive because the player had only been playing casino games for about twenty minutes or so before she won. In addition, she was only wagering on the minimum betting line. That is truly remarkable in so many ways.

Marie-Claire P, the latest big winner over at Craps.com, said that she had a certain feeling inside that she was about to become very lucky in playing so she hopped right onto a casino site and started going for glory. She is a teacher from Quebec and everyone knows that teachers don’t get paid enough so she will be able to use these winnings for sure!

Betfair Signs Jepsen

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

Betfair has been buiulding up quite an impressive line-up of professional poker players in recent days. While their team has always been highly regarded in the world of online casinos and poker rooms they have raised their stakes and have managed to sign on even bigger names to their already respectable roll-call. Most recently, the people at Betfair have got Peter Jepsen to climb on board along with Annette Obrestad, John Tabatabai and Sorel Mizzi. These players are well known in the industry for taking no prisoners and for possessing some highly coveted online casino and poker skills.

You may recognize Jepsen’s name for he was the Danish guy who so famously fought hard and marched on to the ultimate victory at the 2007 European Poker Tour Polish Open. Who could forget that impressive performance? That magical win earned him a stellar $423,000. In a heads-up match he got the best of a French casino player named Farid Meraghni and never looked back. And the year before that back in 2006, Jepsen was able to finish third in the Caribbean Poker Classic and that earned him about $165,000. Everyone involved in this addition to Betfair is extremely pleased with this development.

As far as online casinos and poker rooms go, it can be vitally important to have strong players representing you on the international poker tournament schedule and Jepsen is a formidable player who has already demonstrated his worth a great many times in a variety of competitions all over the world. This relationship is set to last at least the next two years and it will be highly beneficial to both parties.

As one of the hottest online bingo sites in all of the United Kingdom, Chit Chat Bingo has been receiving quite a bit of positive attention for delivering to its players a high-quality gaming experience that seems to be lacking at many other online casinos and bingo halls. One of the main features that attracts so many online casino and bingo players is the opportunity to chat with other players as the name of the site implies. People come here to have pleasant exchanges and to share tips on their favorite casino and bingo games.

One of the longest-standing arguments against online bingo halls and online casinos is that they are inadequate when it comes to recreating the lively and vibrant social atmosphere that people love about land-based bingo halls and casinos but at Chit Chat Bingo, they have somehow managed to overcome the obstacles set in place by being a virtual environment and have a great fun and friendly scene.

Chit Chat Bingo has developed a very solid reputation that is based on its ability to provide a secure and highly enjoyable and entertaining time for its players who love great casino and bingo action. Wynn Resorts Takes Hit In 4th Quarter

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

While most casinos in Las Vegas have been taking a nosedive during this harsh economic slump that has washed over the entire country, it was said that the one operation that was coming through this difficult time relatively unscathed was Wynn Resorts. Now, however, it seems as though the highly successful hotel and casino operation has finally seen a drop in its revenue. It is now just one more victim in this horrific nationwide recession. Even as most online casinos seem to be coming through with decent revenue still, the land-based casino business is experiencing quite a few financial woes.

Wynns Resorts has recently reported that during the fourth quarter of 2008, it too, in addition to countless other casino operations, took a hit in loss of revenue. Compared to the same time the year before, there is about a $200 million difference and that is nothing that shareholders are going to be able to ignore. It took until October for the resort’s business to really experience any sort of dramatic decline. Since so many people are choosing to save money and stay home and perhaps play their games at online casinos instead, the casinos in Las Vegas are the ones who are feeling the impact of these changes in the economy.

As recently as 2007, business was going quite strong for Wynn Resorts with a total profit of $65.5 million but within the next year the company saw a loss of some $159.6 million. This drop in stock is showing to be right in line with the losses that other land-based casinos have experienced.

eCOGRA Approves 3 More Gambling Sites

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

If you are looking to check out some of the online casinos and bingo halls that have been fortunate enough to receive full approval from the online gambling independent player protection organization eCOGRA, you are in luck. Some wonderful online destinations have recently been awarded that powerful and marvelous distinction. So far the eCOGRA organization has been going strong working hard on its goal for a solid five years. In that time they have managed to accredit some 126 different online casinos and poker sites. The way you know that a site has been desgnated as worthy enough for this honor is that the casino site will bear the special Safe and Fair seal of approval.

Just recently, three new online casino and bingo parlors have received the seal. One of them is an online gambling operation based out of Vienna called Interwetten. The other two lucky recipients are a couple of fantastic online bingo sites. In order to earn this positive recognition, the online casino sites must undergo a series of testing and strict monitoring by the folks at eCOGRA in order to be deemed worthy.

Many sites have been monitored in this way and have failed to make the cut. But if you are a lover of casino games, you should consider this good news for you because it is all done for your protection. In your free time you should be writing a tear-stained thank you note to the good people at eCOGRA. The latest additions this time are All Bingo Club and Platinum Play Bingo. Congratulations to these fabulous sites!

Las Vegas Offers Great Deals

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

With the continued success of online casinos and the continued slump of land-based gambling destinations like Las Vegas, hotel and casino operations are having to pull out all the stops in order to get gamblers in their doors and playing casino games at their tables. Many places located along the strip in Sin City are giving away many tempting deals in order to lure customers into their place of business. For example, the Excalibur is letting visitors have 24-hour access to their all-you-can-eat buffet for only $25. That is a very appealing offer for those of us out there who tend to make decisions based upon what our stomachs will want.

Another top casino in the city, Primm Casino is going so far as to actually give away free nights at their hotel in order to bring locals in through their doors and right to their casino tables and slot machines. With all of these deals aimed at people who are coming to the city on a tight budget, it seems that all hope is lost as far as obtaining the patronage of the high-roller crowd.

The current economic crisis and nationwide recession has hit all corners of the country and the city of Las Vegas and its casinos have not been able to remain entirely immune to this development. It seems that online casinos are keeping up with their regular revenue more or less but the same cannot be said for land-based casino operations. In order to fight back and be a contender, these casinos are being required to pull out all the stops and offer unbeatable deals to get peoples’ attention.

Founder of Betcha.com Faced Many Battles

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

Before being found to not be in violation of the Washington state online gambling laws, the folks over at Betcha.com had experienced quite a string of bad luck. But hopefully this recent ruling in a Washington state appellate court means that things are shifting toward being in Betcha.com’s favor. The purpose of the site is to match up people who love playing games at online casinos and engaging in betting with each other. This set-up is quite different from what other online casinos have going on their sites. Instead of betting against the house which is the more common system at casinos, bettors come on and bet against each other.

The casino and  betting site depends somewhat on an honor code where players can rate each other and people with poor ratings are basically shut out of participating. But authorities in Washington state were quite suspicious of the site and after being online in the online casino world for only a few short weeks, the folks at the Washington State Gambling Commission came in and shut her down. But with this ruling, it seems that the law is finally coming over to Betcha.com’s side. But this situation is only resolved on a temporary basis since the gambling commission has already pledged that it will push forward and attempt to appeal the case at the state supreme court level.

The site was shut down back in 2007 and the site’s founder, Nicholas Jenkins was actually extradited to Louisiana to confront charges that had been pressed against him for his work regarding Betcha.com. He has not had an easy time of it, for sure. Although many other Internet casinos have faced a bit of legal trouble here and there, not many have had to battle this hard.

Betcha.com Uses Unorthodox Betting Style

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

Through a crafty and clever design, the operators at Betcha.com were found not to be in violation of any online casino gambling laws in a Washington state court recently. The way they got around the law in this particular case was basically that people who chose to bet on the site were not actually required to pay their bets. This small detail is what kept the site, very popular among fans of online casinos everywhere, out of substantial legal trouble. While the site itself does not pressure their casino players to make good on the losses they incur while placing their bets, there is a fancy rating system in place that does a fantastic job of keeping players in check.

Their rating system is very successful. It is similar to what the popular site eBay eploys to let their buyers and sellers rate each other. On Betcha.com, just as on eBay, you are only as good as your reputation and your reputation is based on your rating. Unlike other online casinos that let their players engage in straight forward gambling that puts the players betting against the house, on Betcha.com they simply bring bettors together to team up and also bet among themselves. With the rating system in place, the players are subject to a streamlined system of checks and balances.

If a player does not make good on one of their bets after they experience a loss during one of their wagers, their rating will drop sharply and this will make it very unlikely that other bettors will want to do any sort of interaction with a casino player who has a very low rating. It is that simple.
