There is good news in regard to the lawsuit against the territory of Gibraltar in the European Court of Justice. They won in a ruling from the European Commission and will now be free and able to continue to charge substantially lower rates for corporate taxes than the United Kingdom. The court claimed that the case brought by the European Commission was founded on the false notion that Gibraltar is only a region of the United Kingdom and therefore not really entitles to its very own tax system that could potentially be quite different from that of the United Kingdom.
