Anti-Casino Groups Advocate Lawlessness
Posted on: June 27th, 2009 4:46 pm | By: helenIt seems that even as the industry of online casinos within the United States continues to make progress and a series of very hopeful strides forward to getting properly regulated and licensed and legalized, there are countless forces fighting against the casino business.
In addition to forces such as Spencer Bachus, another group that has come out in opposition to the online casino operations in America is Concerned Women of America. Representatives of that particular organization have gone so far as to state that everything possible should be done to curb casino gambling across the nation since the effects are so incredibly terrible.
Many others who are involved in the anti-gambling movement have called upon the Department of Justice to bring about some sort of legislative smack-down on online casinos in America once and for all. The anti-gambling advocates are pursuing all possible angles to further their cause. It is not important to them if their means of achieving their goals fall on the wrong side of the law or not. They want internet casino gambling to be brought to a halt in America for once and for all.
These groups have even gone so far as to advocate for the government to seize winnings that normal, law-abiding citizens win. Their rationale is that it would be perfectly acceptable since gambling is essentially an activity that comes with an inherent risk of losing your money anyways. So really, they are in favor of lying, cheating and stripping innocent casino gamers of their constitutional rights as individuals just to further their cause. That is just unacceptable in my mind.
